Two teenagers shot in Kalamazoo's Northside
KALAMAZOO, Mich. — Two teenagers are in the hospital after a shooting Tuesday evening in Kalamazoo's Northside neighborhood.
Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety officers found a 15-year-old boy and a 14-year-old boy with gunshot wounds on North Park Street near West Hopkins Street after 6 p.m.
The 15-year-old was shot in the lower back and the 14-year-old was shot in his forearm. Neither injury is believed to be life threatening.
No arrests yet
Callers reported seeing two males running away from the area where the teenagers were shot. Officers said preliminary investigations suggest it may have happened in a backyard.
The KDPS has not arrested anyone in connection to this shooting and no suspect information is being released.

Investigation underway
The Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety continues to investigate the shooting. Officers are working to identify the suspects and determine how the two teenagers were injured.
