Michigan Senate passes bill to ban restraints on children transported to residential treatment programs
The Michigan Senate voted to pass House Bill 5514, which prohibits the use of blindfolds, hoods, handcuffs, and other restraints on children being transported to residential youth treatment programs. The bill now heads to Gov. Gretchen Whitmer for final approval.

Northern Michigan Lawmaker Pushes Stricter Penalties for Lake Sturgeon Poaching
