The lucky winner, who was not identified Wednesday, has one year to claim their prize at Michigan Lottery headquarters in Lansing before the ticket expires.
How the Jackpot Game Works
The $1 million prize is the first of three jackpots won in the Lucky Stars game. Two more top prizes remain in circulation, along with nine $2,500 prizes.
Lucky Stars tickets cost $5 apiece and the game has 1 in 3.99 odds of winning a prize. Tickets can be purchased at 10,000 Michigan Lottery retailers across the state.
What the Winner Can Do
The winner has until May 14, 2027 to claim their $1 million prize. They can submit their winning ticket at Michigan Lottery headquarters in Lansing.
Michigan Lottery officials say the winner can choose between a lump sum payment or an annuity option that pays out over 29 years.
