Class Of 2026 Marks Final Chapters With Awards And Military Recognition

Marquette Catholic High School honored 92 graduates at its Class of 2026 commencement ceremony on Friday evening, as families, faculty and friends gathered to celebrate the students achievements and look forward to their future.

The event took place at Lewis and Clark Community College in the Hatheway Cultural Center, where the ceremony opened with a prayer from Fr. Jorge Sanchez.

Principal Tim Harmon recognized 20 students for cum laude honors and four for magna cum laude distinctions during the precentennial ceremony.

Two additional students were honored by Principal Harmon for choosing to pursue military service after graduation. The graduates will step into the next chapters of their lives whether they choose college, workforce training, creative pursuits or public service.

Silver Medallions Recognize Top Achievers

Marquette Catholic High School awarded Silver Medallions to eight students named by The Telegraph as ranking in the top 8 percent of the graduating class.

The medallion recipients included Carson Bauer, Karly Davenport, Laila Davis, Sharon Dugas, Jessica Eales, Isabel Downey, James Sehorn and Noah Menke.

Senior Speakers Encourage Character And Service

Senior speakers Karly Davenport and Melanie Marshall encouraged their classmates to stay grounded in the present and savor their accomplishments.

Their reflections came just moments before graduates crossed the stage to receive their diplomas. The speakers echoed Principal Harmon remarks about pursuing lives of character and service.

Senior class president Karly Davenport also led the traditional changing of the tassels during the ceremony. She congratulated her classmates before receiving the final diploma of the evening.

Class Chant Closes Night

The ceremony concluded at 8:51 p.m. as families and friends watched the graduates close the night with a school chant and a celebratory toss of their caps.

The Class of 2026 stepped into their next chapters with the support of their families and the school community.
